A series of photographs taken as a large tarp was deployed on the west side roof of the 1857 Barn, eventually covering about half of it. Jim Gumbert did all the work on the roof.

Two by fours were placed on top of the deployed tarp and attached to the underlying rafters by nails or screws. This method was ultimately unsuccessful, as the wind catching the tarp eventually pulled the boards away from the rafters they had been attached to.
